Women's County Championship (T20) (Complete--May 31, 2021)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is the "headquarters" for this T20 Competition, an indispensable link for anyone who follows it. The page links directly to each of the regional competitions.

Points: Win=4, Tie=2, Loss=0, Abandoned or Cancelled=1, Forfeit=same as win and loss points.

Final Group Stadings Tie Breakers: 1: Head to Head; 2: Net Run Rate;
3. Wickets/balls bowled in matches with a result; 4: The Drawing of Lots

Ties will be decided by a Super Over. If the match is still tied the winner will be determined by the most boundaries in the Super Over. If still tied a count back ball by ball from Ball 6 to Ball 1 will be used to determine the winner. The first ball where there is a discrepancy between the two teams shall be won by the team with more runs for that ball. If still tied another Super Over shall be played.

The ECB is not planning, at present, to continue this Competition beyond the Group Stage. There will be six champions.

==================

The Vitality T20 County Competition was held from April 25-May 16, 2021. On each Sunday (with the exception of the May 3 Bank Holiday, which was on a Monday), there were 3 doubleheaders scheduled in each of the six regional leagues for a total of 144 matches. Unfortunately inclement weather interfered with the last three weeks of the competition. 49 matches were either cancelled or abandoned due to bad weather: 12 in the North and West Midlands, 8 in the East Midlands, 7 in the East, 6 in the South West, and 4 in the South East.

The Winners:

East: Hertfordshire (5 wins, 0 losses, 3 cancelled or abandoned): 23 points
East Midlands: Nottinghamshire (5-0-3--23)
West Midlands: Somerset (5-1-2--22)
North: Lancashire 1st XI (4-0-4--20)
South East: Kent (6-0-2--26)
South West: Gloucestershire (4-0-4--20)

For full standings of each of the Regional competitions, see the regional links above, which also contain links to complete scores, scorecards, leaderboards,  video/video highlight links (when available) and match articles (when available).

FULL MATCH VIDEOS/AND OR HIGHLIGHTS AVAILABLE:

Note: for each of the Youtube videos below, I have attempted to mark the beginning of the match (usually when the umpires appear). The lead times on these videos vary and sometimes there are interesting things happening before the match. They are very easy to access for those who wish to do so. Simply move the slider bar.

For the matches with full match videos, and for some without, there are video highlights available. Always check the scorecards below and look for either an "interactive" scorecard (which will link to some or all of the following: all balls, runs, boundaries, wickets). In some cases there is no interactive scorecard, but here are still video highlights. Look for a "Videos" tab at the top of the scorecard. This tab will lead to video highlights which include some or all of the following. "All" will lead to a complete replay of the match, in sequence, with each video showing the corresponding ball. Other highlights can include runs, boundaries, and wickets. In other words, on some of these highlights the entire match can be seen, either out of sequence (interactive scorecards) or in sequence ("Videos" link).
